to refer to us as the new rat pack. thank you for that. we did get a look inside the debate hall. we're looking to put that thing together. but they will tell you and we all know that there is something that stands out to a lot of folks if you start counting the podiums. there is one missing. supposed to be eight. there is just seven. jon huntsman decided to boycott the cnn debate. we'll get into that. i'm sure the fellows will here in a second. a lot goes into putting a debate like this on. prep work, the venetian helped us out in a major way, but the debate hall is still coming together. that is the spot. it is important. i'll let mark and paul chime in here, people try to understand there has been so many debates and a lot of people i talked to said we got another debate, we just had one last week, what do we need to talk about now? we're in nevada, the issues are different, the people are different and this debate matters. >> you're right. immigration a huge issue out here. we didn't hear in the last debate in new h

only the rest of us, until the rest of us have enough housing. no more housing for the wealthy. we have enough rich people. >> on the topic of families, i often tell folks that if we did a better job of keeping families, i would probably have 1000 more votes in san francisco because i have that many personal friends who have had to move to the east bay, north bay, and south. we have to invest in our schools. we need a mayor who will be in education mayor coming use the bully pulpit for that purpose. we have to invest in services that wraparound families and make sure we're not cutting funding to parks and recreation centers and after-school programs. fundamentally, we have to do with far better job of keeping the jobs we have been losing. over the past couple years, we have lost 30,000 jobs, hundreds of companies. this is why have been proud to fight to keep companies like twitter and san francisco come to fight for the next biotech company, clean technology, to fight for the 80,000 small businesses and stethoscope and the several hundred new manufacturing companies. i hope ever

we're nonaffiliated, both of us. i had a really kind of special reason to want to have the president right there. these amazing women that are marching in cuba and continue to do so for the freedom of their loved ones unjustly imprisoned, journalists and writers and people that started speaking against the government, were getting beat up and i wanted to hand him letters from the dissidents and i wanted to have direct access and he did. we spent quite a bit of time before the fund-raiser happened. giving him all these things, showing him the pictures. subsequently a lot of these men were released. but it was a big honor to have the president of the united states in my home. >> amazing. >> it was quite something. although i caught some heat from it, i would gladly do so. i was very proud that he got to become president as we talked and. how would i be critical? it's hard to be critical, because i spent three months in the general assembly, the 47th general assembly in the u.n. and it's a miracle anything gets done wit
